Introduction
ABOUT DR. PRAVIN GUPTA
Dr. Pravin Jaiprakash Gupta, MS, FICS,FAIS,FASCRS,FACS is a surgeon proctologist. He completed his postgraduation in Surgery from Govt. Medical college, Nagpur and pursued his formal training in proctology from various centers in India and abroad. He has organized several surgical workshops for proctology in different parts of the country and trained hundreds of surgeons from India and abroad in his technical field. He is an editorial board member of seven international medical journals and reviewer for more than 40 surgery journals.
He has been selected as International fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons in June 2011. He was awarded fellowship of the Association of Indian Surgeons in December 2011. He was selected as an International Fellow of The American College of Surgeons in Oct 2013. He was awarded an honorary fellowship of the International Society of Coloproctology in January 2014.
He has more than 104 research papers to his credit which has been published in various peer-reviewed indexed international journals. His presentation was awarded as the best podium presentation at the annual meeting of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons at the annual meeting at Vancouver, Canada in May 2011.
His abstract was chosen as the best amongst the abstracts of the 48 invited speakers during the 13th Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology at Bangkok in Dec. 2011, and he was selected to deliver the ‘Menda and Moragami’ Oration in the congress. He has written two books on anorectal diseases and hemorrhoids which are published by Nova Science Publishers, New York, USA. He has also penned a book published by Oxford University Press, London.

The above titled fourth book authored by him has been published by Nova Biomedical New York in 2014.
He has contributed a chapter in the book entitled ‘ ANAL FISTULA, Principle and Management’, published by Springer.
